About Us
Moxxy Forensic Investigations, based in Texas, is a nonprofit, tax-exempt charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. We are victim-centered. We hold integrity and ethics in the highest regard. We are committed to our partnerships and amplifying the stories of those who are known and unknown. For us, this is an opportunity to best represent the loved ones of those who have had their lives tragically cut short. We know that these people, their loved ones, and the community they are a part of matters most, and we are committed in helping to bring closure to the countless cases of unidentified human remains and unsolved violent crimes.

Our Mission
The mission of Moxxy Forensic Investigations is to provide exceptional Investigative Genetic Genealogy (IGG) services to investigating agencies, exhibiting respect and diligence for the victims and their loved ones, working with determination and integrity to assist agencies in identifying unknown individuals, and upholding the confidentiality of sensitive case information.

The vision of Moxxy Forensic Investigations is to join colleagues, partners, collaborators, and agencies in returning individuals their names and giving justice to those affected by violent crimes.

The commitee collaborates to develop strategies to secure donations, to engage potential donors, and to ensure the success of fundraising campaigns and events.

The Grants Committee is
dedicated to securing funding to supporting Moxxy’s primary goal: to use investigative genetic genealogy to assist in the identification of unknown decedents or perpetrators of violent crimes. Through research, grant writing, and donor engagement, the committee helps to ensure that financial resources are available to support laboratory services, database upload fees, forensic and genealogical research, and victim and family outreach. By fostering partnerships and pursuing funding opportunities, the committee plays a vital role in furthering Moxxy’s mission to restore names to the nameless and seek justice for the unidentified.
Internship Advisory

The Internship Advisory Committee oversees our semester-long internship program, which provides college students with hands-on experience in the field of investigative genetic genealogy. The committee ensures that interns receive meaningful educational opportunities, mentorship, and exposure to real-world applications of investigative genetic genealogy research. By guiding and supporting our interns, the committee helps cultivate the next generation of professionals committed to ethical, responsible investigative work.
Outreach

Our Outreach Committee is dedicated to building relationships with law enforcement agencies, medical examiner and coroner offices, and other investigative entities to raise awareness about the value and applications of investigative genetic genealogy. The committee works to educate these agencies on the field’s methods, ethical standards, and potential to aid in identifying unidentified human remains and perpetrators of violent crimes. Additionally, the committee plays a key role in securing partnerships that allow our organization to support investigative efforts through responsible and effective genetic genealogy services.
Professional Development

The Professional Development Committee at Moxxy is responsible for fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the organization. The committee develops training materials, guidelines, and resources to support both new team members and experienced team members in mastering various Investigative Genetic Genealogy systems, tools, and best practices. Through mentorship, trainings, and ongoing education, we provide information and opportunities for each member to continually strengthen their skills and knowledge in order to excel in IGG and investigative research.
Victim Advocacy

The Victim Advocacy Committee at Moxxy Forensic Investigations provides support, resources, and guidance to victim’s families as they navigate life after loss. The committee connects them with counseling, legal aid, and victim services while also advocating for justice
in wrongful convictions. Through investigative genetic genealogy, we strive to bring closure, accountability, and compassion to those affected by violent crimes.
